Frequently asked questions
How long does a deck take to build?
It depends on size, height and materials. Your written estimate includes an expected timeline, and we keep you updated if weather moves the schedule.
Wood or composite — which should I choose?
Pressure-treated wood costs less up front. Composite costs more but needs far less upkeep and won’t splinter. We’ll price both so you can compare.
Do I need a permit?
Requirements vary by city and county. We’ll go over what your project needs during the estimate.
Can you repair my existing deck instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. We’ll check the posts, framing and ledger and give you an honest answer about whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
